I watched this really cool dance to pillow talk and I thought I might share it. In our current unit in school, we are studying movement like undulations which are isolation of the rib case. In this dance, the dancers use this movement to isolate there chest as well as make there movements flow. They also use some of the across the cross the floors we used such a turns and plies. I found this dance every similar  to the one we are doing in class.

I started tap class at Mark Morris about 4 weeks ago. It definitely has been challenging. Our teacher has been teaching moves like pull backs and fraps that require more calf work. Through this program, I learned about a great tap artist named Savion Glover. My teacher is now teaching us a piece he created that is inspired by this Savion Glover piece:

Is this man literally flying? That was the first question I had asked myself when I watched this video. The leaps made me feel as if I were frozen in time and turns were executed perfectly. But along with his great dancing, this dance conveyed a deep and important meassage. This message was that, churches and religious places that are opposed to homosexuality should not hate people for being who they are. And I believe this message is so important.

Okay not only am I obsessed with Chloe, but now I also obsessed with this video. I loved the way the movements told the story not the song. Sharp movements indicated pain , long movements indicated her being graceful, and floor movements indicated she was hiding. And she conveyed all these emotions using only her body which is amazing. I just loved it!!!!!!

I love this dance. Not only did it show great energy, but it also showed the dancer's personality. For example, Charlize Glass, (the girl in the purple shirt), loved to isolate different parts of her body especially for movements in which she has more counts for. But Angel Gibbs ( the girl in the white tee), like to take her time with movements to execute them perfectly.In conclusion, it is a great dance that I would like to learn someday.
